Well, it's not a pin registered optical printer, but if the camera you're copying to has an electronic release than can keep up with the trigger rate of 6fps, then it would work okay. Better to use a multiplexor in this instance, though.

Actually, if anyone is interested in something to SPECIFICALLY blow super 8 up to 16mm, I have built rigs where the 16mm camera uses an extension tube to shoot directly off the super 8 emulsion at much slower capture rates; like one frame per second. That's the best way to do it and works perfectly. In that case, I use a Bolex 16mm camera converted to take 400 foot loads and a converted Bell and Howell super 8 transport. Kicks butt.
